Quality Safaris that benefit local people

Classic Safari 4 Days / 3 Nights

Parks visited: Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro Crater. Tanzania has two safari circuits, and each one of them, in its own right, would make Tanzania a top wildlife destination. The popular Northern circuit with the Serengeti National park and Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the best classical safaris in Africa, especially if timed with the annual wildebeest migration.

Minimum 2 travelers | Limited to 36 guests

Day 1 Arusha – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, head towards the Serengeti National Park by way of the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa; into the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling in the distance as far as the eye can see. You will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The Seronera River provides a valuable water source to this area of the park and attracts wildlife well represented of most of the Serengeti species.

Day 2 Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy an early morning game drive along the Sogore River circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This is a good location for spotting lion, gazelle, topi, ostrich, and cheetah. The Visitor Center, close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after this morning game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop where you can purchase information leaflets and maps of the area.

Day 3 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The morning is set aside for another game drive in the Serengeti and you might spot some creatures that you haven’t seen yet. Animals tend to be more active in the morning before the temperatures soar around midday. After lunch, you will leave the plains of the Serengeti and travel to the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will overnight directly on the Ngorongoro Crater’s edge with a view over the collapsed volcano. It is a perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner at sunset.

Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater Tour - Arusha

We will leave this morning just after breakfast on our way to Ngorongoro Crater for full day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is undoubtedly the best place in Tanzania to view black rhino as well as large prides of lions that include magnificent black-manned males. It is also home to huge herds of wildebeest and zebra and many other plains game, such as Thomson’s gazelle. An alkaline lake in the floor of the Crater provides a habitat for colorful flamingos and a variety of other water birds. Massive bull elephants feed in the swamps, some adorned with enormous tusks. Later in the afternoon we drive back to Arusha.

Meal plan: breakfast at the lodge. Picnic lunch inside the Crater
